What's new at Lone Willow? 2010 News August; It's here, BEER JELLY!!! Ready for the 2010 season, visit us at any of our 2010 shows to try it!! March; When asked by a customer, last Christmas, if we made a beer jelly, we smilingly said no. Well, the R and D Department at Lone Willow has been working on beer jellies this Spring. YOU WON'T BELIEVE THE TASTE!! The beer flavour just jumps out at you. We are still developing this product , so stand by for further news. 2007 News
Also last year, saw the release of two new products. Over the last number of years, Lone Willow customers have requested pepper jelly, and until recently the response was always, "I'm sorry, we only make wine jelly". Then we decided to think outside the box. So, three years of experimenting later, we came up with "Hot 'N Sassy", a jalapeno/wine jelly. Ric made a rosé wine (with the Grenache grape) and fermented it with jalapenos to produce this fiery specialty. It has quickly become many repeat customers new favourite.
Another product that has been in the development stage for some time is our new gourmet confection, Wine Jelly Truffles. A sweet, soft candy made from cabernet sauvignon or chardonnay wine and dipped in rich dark chocolate. Sorry, not available for wholesale.
In February 2007 Lone Willow was featured in the Vancouver Province in the small business section. Among the people that noticed this article were the producers of CityTv's Breakfast Television. Less than a month later, Ric made an appearance on the show, his television debut.
