Also last year, saw the release of two new products. Over the last number of years, Lone Willow customers have requested pepper jelly, and until recently the response was always, "I'm sorry, we only make wine jelly". Then we decided to think outside the box. So, three years of experimenting later, we came up with "Hot 'N Sassy", a jalapeno/wine jelly. Ric made a rosé wine (with the Grenache grape) and fermented it with jalapenos to produce this fiery specialty. It has quickly become many repeat customers new favourite.
Another product that has been in the development stage for some time is our new gourmet confection, Wine Jelly Delights. A sweet, soft candy made from Cabernet Sauvignon or Chardonnay, similar to a Turkish Delight. Now available for wholesale.
In February 2007 Lone Willow was featured in the Vancouver Province in the small business section. Among the people that noticed this article were the producers of CityTv's Breakfast Television. Less than a month later, Ric made an appearance on the show, his television debut.
